Paula Paula PaulaPaula Patton is an actress and producer best known for her roles as a lead actress in the action film Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol as well as the dramatic film Precious. She was born into a middle-class household in Los Angeles, she harboured many dreams in her early years. A passion for film within her daughter was something that she received from her mother who loved to watch movies. Paula took part in the co-curricular programs at her school, and was a drama enthusiast. She loved to play act along with her fellow students and also participated in school's stage shows. After performing in a variety of high school productions at Hamilton Magnet Arts High School in Hamilton, she made the decision to make acting her professional career. While attending a summer program in the University of Southern California, she thoroughly enjoyed herself. She was offered a contract for three months to produce documentaries on PBS. She began her career as a TV production assistant after she had completed her three-month work. Then she moved on to producing documentaries. The work was enjoyable, but she aspired to become an actor. The path to acting began when she had the role of a small part with Will Smith in the romantic comedy Hitch. In the years since, she's appeared in numerous films and television shows.
